Sharing the family calendar
A subscription shows the family calendar in another app. It is read-only: you still change appointments in WuselWall. The other way round, bringing outside calendars into WuselWall, is under Outside calendars.
Open Settings → Advanced → Share the family calendar and tap New subscription.
Creating a subscription
- Give the subscription a Name, for example "Work laptop Outlook".
- Under What, choose the appointments. Also:
- Presence shows who is where (at work, home office, off …). For work devices and children it is better to leave this off.
- School shows school days as one all-day entry, or every lesson. Or off.
- Include outside calendars adds the appointments from outside calendars, for example a club or the bin collection. It is off until you tick it. Each subscription decides for itself whether its appointments come along.
- Under Whose events choose people. With nobody chosen, all members are included.
- Tap Create subscription.
The address
The subscription address is shown only once. Anyone who has it can see the appointments, so treat it like a password. The address contains a secret key for this one subscription; a new subscription gets a new address.
Copy address puts the address on your clipboard. Copy webcal link gives you a link that opens the subscribe dialog directly on an iPhone. The QR code shows the same address, for scanning.
How to subscribe
Outlook on the web: Calendar → Add calendar → Subscribe from web → paste the address → choose the name "Family".
iPhone: Settings → Apps → Calendar → Accounts → Add Account → Other → Add Subscribed Calendar → paste the address. Or tap the webcal link.
Revoking a subscription
To stop a subscription receiving appointments, tap Revoke in the list. This takes effect at once. The subscription stays in the list marked Revoked. The list also shows when it was last fetched.
