Account and family

These steps concern your account or the whole family. They are at the bottom of the settings on your personal phone, and only there. Delete account is always shown; the other steps are in the Advanced view. Know what happens first: none of the steps can be undone.

Password

Under Settings → Advanced → Sign-in → Password you set or change a password. At least 10 characters; a whole sentence is better. The code by email still works too.

Leave the family

If you no longer want to belong to a family, tap Leave family and confirm with Leave.

• Your account leaves the family, and your devices sign out.
• The entries you made stay with the family.
• Afterwards you can start a new family or join another one.

This is not possible if you are the last guardian with an account. Then invite a second adult first (see Members and devices), or delete the family.

Delete the family

Only a guardian can delete a family, on their own phone. Tap Delete family, type the family's name, and tap Next. In the second step, type DELETE (in capitals) and tap Delete family.

• The family is deleted with all its data immediately and permanently. There is no waiting period and no way to restore it, not even for a guardian.
• All devices sign out at once. The adults' accounts remain: whoever signs in again can start a new family or join another.

Delete your account

To delete your WuselWall account yourself, tap Delete account. The sign-in is removed, and you are signed out everywhere.

• Your profile stays in the family with everything you have done. Only the access goes.
• For deletion WuselWall asks whether it is really you. If your sign-in is older than 5 minutes, WuselWall sends a code by email before it continues.
• The last guardian with an account cannot delete it (see above).

Good to know

• Deleting the family deletes it for everyone. Only do it when everyone agrees.
• Export your data first if you want to keep it: Export data.
